When Diamond Rock Management began building The Homestead apartment complex in Spokane Valley, Washington, they needed a lighting solution that would fit in with the upscale reputation of the community.
This high-end development includes 248 total apartment units, a clubhouse, pool, playground, and 4 garage buildings.
Several years before this project, development owner Dennis Crapo had worked with Darin Swan at Wilbert Precast to come up with a light pole base that could match the look of a previous project.
The installation of the first phase took one week, and each base took approximately 30 minutes total to install.
The Pole Bases for this project contained a standard bolt pattern and conduit pattern. The texture, on the other hand, was stained by hand to match the look of the buildings.
“I just went out after all of the bases were installed on that particular project. I looked at the colors in his wall and matched it as close as I could by hand staining with spray bottles,” said Swan.
In total, the project required 60 Ledgestone texture Pole Bases that measured 8 ft. and 6.5 ft. tall and 24 in. in diameter. "When we do higher end apartment complexes we will definitely be using Pole Base again," said Riley.
